Reading at home is very important. Reading for just 10 minutes a day can make a BIG difference. All children have now been given a log in for Collins Big Cat Ebooks. It would be great if they could log in at home and read the books that they have been allocated.

If you have forgotten your child's log in details please let your class teacher know.
This term our topic is Seeds, Leaves & Trees. We will be spending a lot of time in our Forest School Area exploring and discovering the wonders of the woodland. We will be identifying different seeds, leaves and trees, learning about seed dispersal, why they are so important and the role they play in the ecosystem. We will be planting sunflower seeds and learning how to care for them. To finish off we will be learning about the Amazon Rainforest and comparing it to our local woodland, all the time reflecting on the importance of the environment and how our actions impact it.
The first topic we are looking at will be Amazing Animals. During this topic we will be focusing on where animals come from and where they live. We will be learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and showing the children how to care for animals by keeping caterpillars and watching them develop into butterflies.
Our big question for this topic is:
