Blwyddyn 6 Coch

Thank you for visiting our page.  As we have two Y6 classes in Bryn Hafod we have named them after colours.  Mr Guinee's Class is Coch (Red) and Mr Horton's Class is Glas (Blue).  We will be updating this webpage periodically as we go through the year so please visit this page regularly.

Twitter

As well as this page we will be posting updates on Twitter.  You can follow us on Twitter @BrynHafodPrm

We do not document everything that happens in the class on Twitter however, we do try to keep you informed of exciting or interesting things that happen in class from time to time so please follow us if you are not already.

School Closure Learning Packs

Here are the Home Learning Packs for Y6.  They are in PDF format.  The learning packs have been designed so that children do not have to access a digital device although we recognise that some of the tasks and activities could be completed with the use of the device.  If your child chooses to do so that is fine with us.  We just wanted to be able to cater for all children and we are aware that not all children have a device at home.

We appreciate that this is an extraordinary way of learning for your child.  Please adapt the acticities if you believe they are too difficult or too easy for your child.  As you are aware teachers are currently working to ensure that the children of NHS workers are look after and are also beusy preparing work for your children when the next 4 weeks are up.

Should there be any issues with accessing the home learning packs then you can contact homelearning@brynhafodprm.co.uk If there is a way of solving the problem e.g. by making a task easier / harder then do so.  Emailing the above email address should be a last resort.

Thank you for your support.  Stay safe.

Kensukes Kingdom

We have finished reading our class novel today. We have really enjoyed reading Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo.  It is based on a boy called Michael that gets thrown overboard at sea and ends up on a desert island. He first thinks that he is alone on the island until one morning a plate of food is waiting for him when he wakes.
