The Rainbow Club
The Rainbow Club
The Rainbow Club is an initiative that runs across the Rainbow Federation linked to supporting parents and carers and the wider school communities with the current cost of living crisis and family support. The Rainbow Club are actively engaged in a range of initiatives and activities to reduce expense of living costs eg. school uniform etc, supporting family engagement in school events and with learner wellbeing.
@RainbowClub_CDF is an initiative to help and support communities linked to the Rainbow Federation in Cardiff, specifically @brynhafodprm and @glanyrafonps. The club was founded in October 2022, and its main focus is to support the school community through the cost of living crisis with various initiatives, ideas, and interventions. The club is collecting old football boots and Halloween costumes, pre-loved uniform, shoes, bags coats etc that can be reused by other children in their school community. They are encouraging parents, grandparents, and the wider school community to get involved and to send them any ideas they may have on how to support the Rainbow Federation. The club aims to support the community and promote social inclusion.
The @RainbowClub_CDF's Twitter page provides updates and information about their initiatives and ongoing efforts. They use social media to connect with the wider community and encourage participation. The club is open to suggestions and ideas from everyone in the community, and they encourage people to get in touch via direct message. The Rainbow Club's work is an example of a community-led initiative that aims to promote social inclusion, reduce stigma, and support people who are facing challenging circumstances.
